Closing the Loop
Buy it, use it and throw it away. It’s easy to spend much of our daily lives consuming without thinking about where our goods come from, how they are made and what happens when we throw them away.

Recycling is the first step to making this process better. Plastic materials are reused to make more products for use. What to consider however is the energy, materials and resources that are required for those materials to be considered suitable for use again.

We propose an alternative step to recycling which is less polluting, less resource intensive and more earth-friendly. That is, to use an agricultural resource and from it, to create a new resource to start the cycle again, effectively “closing the loop.”

Biodegradable and compostable packaging, made from corn, potato, etc. can be used in place of petro-based products. As these products are used, they are disposed of in a composting bin.
